It has state of the art medical and IT equipment and modern furniture and fittings. == The Practice == has five consulting rooms and a treatment/procedure room. Two nurses rooms for two FTE nursing staff. There are four other general practitioners working in this medical centre, they have a special interest in paediatrics, general medicine, dermatology, shared care and minor procedures. == The Practice == is comprised of a practice manager, practice coordinator, two reception staff and two practice nurses (all full-time). There is excellent IT support available through their head office IT department and the nursing staffs are continually attending professional development to support the general practitioners and provide quality health care to patients. == The Practice == is open 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Sessions are flexible during these times. After-hours on-call is one in twenty-eight evenings. == The Practice == is centrally located in the city centre near shops and above a pharmacy which operates as a NDSS sub-agency (Diabetes Service). The hospitals and specialists are situated close to the city centre. == The Practice == is primarily privately billing, however a number of children, health care card holders and pensioners are bulk billed at the general practitioners? discretion. The town is well known for its schools and hospitals which service a wide area. Its recreation facilities are also an important community asset. Businesses in the area offer a broad range of products which includes catering for the rural communities needs. It has a diverse range of community groups, service clubs, sporting clubs and arts based societies and groups catering for a full spectrum of people and interests. Major events such as the Begonia Festival, the Royal South Street Competition and sporting events involve both local people and participants from a large catchment.
