No oncall is required. The large and modern clinic is new and is very well equipped. You will be working with a committed team of welcoming, friendly RNs and AHWs. You will see an interesting and diverse range of medicine and be involved in the treatment of chronic illnesses, diabetes, chronic disease, asthma, poor nutrition, acute pneumonia, women?s health (you must be trained for Implanon insertion), etc.  You must be comfortable working solo and preparing patients to be evacuated by aircraft. Phone support is available from Alice Springs Hospital. Plenty of support is provided to prepare you for the locum. You will complete a 3 hour PCIS phone training session prior to the locum and you will also have additional training/orientation on your first day which includes Medicare and a PCIS (Primary Care Information System) refresher. == The Location == This is one of the largest communities in Central Australia and has a thirving community of successful artists. The population is approx 1,000-1,300. There is a primary and a secondary school, post office, two stores, aged car centre and church.
