As you will be the only doctor in town over the weekend you will need to have advanced life saving skills and be competent at advanced airway management including intubation.     Dates: Fri 16th to Mon 19th September 1800 til 0800   Fri 21st to Tues 25th October      0800 til 0800     The Health Service:   The Health Service consists of a 26 bed in patient facility and a Community Health Service. The 26 beds in the hospital include 12 high level Residential aged care beds, 14 acute medical beds which include palliative care and respite services, and a 3 bay emergency department which operates 24 hours a day.   Emergency Medical services for the hospital are provided by the towns Medical Centre. The hospital does not have a medical officer on site 24hrs per day. Clients who present for emergency care are triaged by a registered nurse, and care is prioritised according to the severity of the illness, and the medical officer responds accordingly.   == The Location ==:   You will be working in a small country town which is located about 390 kilometres South-West of Sydney. It is a popular location for tourists as it is full of Aboriginal culture and has many interesting attractions, and a very interesting history. How to get there:   The town is accessible from the Hume Highway and can be reached by car within 4 ? 5 hours from either Sydney or Melbourne.
