The hospital will support you to grow a lucrative and thriving private practice. You have the option to work as a fully private practitioner from day one or can have the benefit of a salaried appointment with built in bonus and incentive scheme to get you up and running. You decide. Statistics show that there are 4,700 private cases of unmet demand for endoscopic examination from this catchment area. Only 1200 examinations are conducted in hospital. This is a huge need for the community and fantastic opportunity for an astute physician to build a thriving practice. You can choose the hours and days that you work. If you would like to work in the public system or have an academic background the hospital has links to the base hospital and three Universities so can strongly support you in setting up affiliations. You will receive full support from a strong marketing, secretarial and administrative team to ensure that you walk into a busy practice and see patients from day one. Locally there are 2 teams of private physicians covering the medical ward and on call roster at the private hospital. You will have the opportunity to join either group depending on your preference. The Health Service A leading health care provider, with private hospitals, home nursing, pathology and Social Outreach and Advocacy services throughout Australia, New Zealand, and the wider Asia-Pacific region. The hospital has 211 beds and provides an extensive range of health care services including surgical, medical, maternity and gynaecology, emergency, day surgery, intensive and coronary care, rehabilitation, oncology, sleep studies, home nursing, interventional cardiac services, mental health services.   Recent developments include a new cardiac and vascular angiography suite with the modern angiography equipment and interventional angiography services - a first for the region. Five operating theatres were also refurbished with new state-of-art air handling and theatre equipment installed.
