You will oversee all sexual health and blood borne virus related activities including clinical services delivered through clinics and remote outreach services and provide clinical support to the SHBBVU team. You will have a background in sexual health or public health and the job will be moulded around your background. This is a particularly interesting role as the Northern Territory has the highest levels of infection in the country so presents a genuine opportunity to make a real difference. The Department The SHBBVU is responsible for the delivery of services including community STI and BBV screening, men's and women's health workshops for health practitioners and ongoing support of STI management. Other activities include surveillance and follow-up of diagnosed infections, education initiatives, support and guidance for primary care providers and harm reduction initiatives including needle and syringe programs. The Unit also provides high-level advice on the SHBBV program, priority setting, research directions and resource allocation. == The Location == If you want the opportunity to live and work in a truly diverse city then this is the job for you.
