The Consultant Paediatrician will support and lead junior medical staff within the service. You will also be required to work collaboratively with team members to provide services in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients referred.    To provide and participate in educational and service audit activities as well as the on call rota which is currently 1 in 5. The Hospital The hospital is a busy 260 bed facility providing secondary services for a major NZ city. It provides regional Plastics, Oral Maxillofacial and Rheumatology services. There are 8000+ operative procedures per year in General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Gynaecology, Dental, Plastics, reconstruction and OMF. There are 2,200 deliveries annually in the Obstetric Unit. There are 600 admissions to the ICU each year. The hospital has a new operating suite with eight rooms an eight bed ICU/HDU. == The Location == This beautiful city is located on the harbour but is surrounded by green towering hills.
