The level of facility is well above that normally expected and it has a modern theatre complex that you will work in. The hospital provides general, orthopaedic and obstetrics and gynaecology surgical services. There is a comprehensive road and air retrieval and transfer system, as well as a modern CCU that you will support. You will be working in a hospital environment that is friendly and supportive with the staff working in small teams with a lot of interdependence. There are supporting services from general surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, physicians and obstetrics and gynaecologists, as well as visiting specialists from the tertiary units in Christchurch. == The Position ==: This position will require you to work a forty hour week with rostered on call. Your duties of == The Position == will require you to carry out pre and post-operative assessment, anaesthesia for surgical lists, other procedures requiring anaesthesia and support for the CCU, ED plus patients requiring transfer.
