Sunday 31 July ? shorter periods within this will be considered).    Pay rates are $1800 per day for doctors with FRACGP and $2000 per day for doctors with FRACGP plus either anaesthetic or obstetric procedural skills. Accommodation and flights are provided, and a car is available.   The Hospital You will generally be required to work 5 days across a 7 day roster, and on call is 1 in 3 (nights/weekends). The hospital offers acute inpatient care, 24 hour emergency care, aged care and long stay. Antenatal and specialist clinics are available on site and visiting specialists for paediatrics, gynaecology, general surgery and general medicine come in from Cairns Base Hospital regularly. Mental health, ATODS, HACC, oral health and community health services are also available on site You will work at the hospital providing evidence-based and quality clinical care of individual patients in all domains of medical practice: patient interview, clinical examination, identification of clinical problems and health opportunities, plan of overall clinical care and health promotion etc. Your role will include engaging in the teaching of medical staff and/or medical students. == The Location == The mist topped mountains beyond Port Douglas lure visitors along the short scenic drive north to == The Location == of the hospital, a picturesque little township nestled at the foot of the mountains.
