The current Oncology service is well-established and the principal oncologist will support further service growth with you. The Hospital This 253 bed hospital provides a range of services in addition to its oncology service including an emergency department, day surgery, medical, surgical and maternity services, along with a 24 hour critical care unit and Cath Lab services. Onsite diagnostic and support services include medical imaging and pathology. Theatre and procedure rooms include: 12 theatres, cardiac interventional laboratory services: emergency department, critical care unit, cardiology, oncology, medical, surgical, obstetrics, rehabilitation, perinatal and infant mental health and community youth mental health. The Oncology Centre is a unique and contemporary Day Care unit that cares for clients receiving chemotherapy or other drug/blood product infusions. It is located on level 5 of the hospital and comprises 14 chairs which are utilised by a number of patients for different treatment modalities at any given time and up to 15 overnight oncology inpatient beds. The Oncology Centre offers a high standard of professional and multidisciplinary care. Oncologists are supported by specialised nurses as well as allied health services. You will be a passionate and caring person with the drive and determination to lead the service into the future. You must hold FRACP (or be close to completing your fellowship) and be eligible for specialist registration with AHPRA. You must also be eligible for unrestricted Medicare provider numbers.
