The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 children per year and you will be involved in acute care and consulting general paediatrics ? weekly out patient?s clinics.   The Hospital This 280 bed acute and extended care facility prides itself on such services as surgical, medical, paediatric, obstetrics and gynaecology, intensive care and psychiatry. The hospital is the main base for the greater surrounding regions, giving you the chance to be exposed to all forms of patient care. It has two smaller sites that are set up to help take care of the broader region, and through these smaller campus? you will have the opportunity to gain further skills while sharing your knowledge with other dedicated members of staff.   The hospital has an average of 25,000 A&E attendances annually, admits over 14,000 patients, assists 1,000 births, and undertakes approximately 4,300 operations per year allowing you exposure to a wide variety of cases in this small but busy hospital.   The main campus has a state of the art paediatric facility consisting of 28 beds and is equipped with the latest technologies. You will be working alongside a small but dedicated team of doctors who are all engaged in the wellbeing of not only their team, but also the community.   == The Location == Located just 2 hours outside of Melbourne, this small city with a population of 27,707 is ideal for those wanting to escape the city and enjoy a community region.
