You will deliver General Medicine services to inpatients including those in the ICU, HDU and CCU. You will also provide a privately referred outpatient consultancy service and outreach clinic services to the smaller communities within the region. As a teaching hospital this role provides an excellent opportunity to become involved in teaching and research projects. You will also be required to participate in the on-call roster for General Medicine.   The Hospital The hospital is a modern rural referral facility with approximately 100 beds. It services a local community of 30,600 and a referral community of 55,200. The services provided include surgical ward, medical ward, paediatric ward, obstetric unit, day surgery unit, rehabilitation ward, psychiatric unit and intensive care unit and the facility supports a wide range of specialist surgical services.   == The Location == Set high on the Great Dividing Range in northern New South Wales, this town is located halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, and just over two hours from Coffs Harbour on the mid north coast.
