They are moving to a new 16 bed inpatient unit in the Hospital. They currently have 9 beds. They have a perm consultant due to start but they won't be there by the time they open so need locum cover in the meantime. Inpatient Adult. They are moving to a new system so will be required to cover on call during the week approx 1:4 plus 1 weekend during that time. Call backs are low as ED usually admit them and advise the Consultant in the morning. They usually pay $2000 per day but will need to check with Med Admin re on call/call backs rates. The new unit will not have been authorized at time of opening so will be managing voluntary pts and assessing for transfer if needing involuntary treatment (so ED work too).
