The role will predominately have a gynae focus that requires substantial experience in caesarean sections, normal vaginal delivery, hysterectomies and urogynaecology ( tape procedures).   The service has a number of GP obstetricians who you would work with and when required help with high risk pregnancies as and when they arise.   In this key role, you will assist with the supervision of the clinical practice of, and to teach Obstetrics and Gynaecology to the Registrar, Salaried Medical Officers, Interns and Medical Students as required. The hospital has 3 theatres and a 4 bed HDU. It is a small service however they cover a large area. This role would suit someone who has an interest or experience in a rural location and is looking to build a career with the health service.   ==The Hospital== The hospital provides acute care services in emergency, medical, day and inpatient surgery, obstetrics and high dependency unit. The hospital has 3 operating theatres and a renal dialysis unit on site. The hospital is currently in the later stages of a $36 million redevelopment due for completion in early 2014. In addition to recovery services such as mental health, rehabilitation, chemotherapy and renal dialysis being offered at the hospital, facilities will be enhanced, allowing more people to be treated on site and reducing the need to travel to Adelaide.   ==== The Location ==== You will live in a gorgeous river town that has a population of roughly 7,500.
