North Island, New Zealand   A large practice on the North Island of New Zealand is seeking a GP to join their dynamic team. Amazing salary package on offer! Base Salary is $130,000 to $150,000 pa depending of qualifications and experience. $90 per hour overtime rates Annual practising Certificate paid for MPS insurance paid for subscription to GP College paid for 5 weeks paid annual leave Two weeks paid CME leave $8,000.00 CME allowance pa Opportunity for salary to increase depending on commitment to practice You will be working 40 hours per week, 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday. However == The Practice == is open 8:00am - 8:00pm Monday to Thursday and the doctors take turns at working one late night per week - i.e. they start at 11:00am and work through till 8:00pm. == The Practice == has a fantastic team in both nursing staff and administration staff. Regular peer review meetings are held for the doctors. There are seven other GPs currently working at == The Practice ==. The fully computerised medical centre features 21 consulting rooms and two treatment rooms. The building it is located in has been purpose-built in 2005 and is fully air-conditioned throughout. The local hospital is nearby and a shopping centre is only a few minutes drive away. The flourishing rural town of Hawera (population 11,000) is the largest town in the South Taranaki district. The closest city in the north is New Plymouth (about 1 hour's drive) and South is Wanganui (also 1 hours drive). On a clear day the volcanic cone of Mount Taranaki is visible throughout South Taranaki and offers a wonderfully unique backdrop to the province. Egmont National Park is easily accessible and offers tramping, climbing, skiing and camping facilities. The area is also rich in cultural history with many well preserved pa sites, original blockhouses and museums telling the tale of early South Taranaki.
