The Position

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership within a Community Child and Youth Mental Health Service. This full-time role is integral to delivering recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care for young people aged 0–18 years. You’ll provide expert psychiatric assessment and treatment across community and outreach settings, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to strengthen service development, clinical governance and workforce capability. This is a chance to shape system reform, mentor emerging clinicians and lead innovative, youth-centred mental health care within a supportive and progressive environment.

Through ongoing reform and service development, it continues to strengthen early intervention, integrated community care, and specialist outreach - ensuring every young person receives timely and appropriate support. The program delivers multidisciplinary community-based services and works collaboratively with general practitioners, schools, hospitals, and local agencies to provide holistic, coordinated, and continuous care across all settings.
