The Position
This opportunity offers a highly versatile workload with manageable caseloads and on-call expectations. You can shape your scope of practice through either a dedicated Part-Time Consultation Liaison role or a Full-Time appointment blending Consultation Liaison with General Adult clinic work across community and inpatient settings.
The Consultation Liaison component covers referrals from general medical, surgical, and maternity wards, alongside close collaboration with the local palliative care and hospice teams. You will enjoy a strongly supported environment with active involvement in supervising registrars and medical students, as well as opportunities to integrate personal clinical subspecialties, research, or academic links with regional clinical schools. Flexible full-time, part-time, permanent, or fixed-term arrangements are available to suit your lifestyle.

Essential Criteria
- Specialist Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) in Psychiatry.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent qualification.
- Candidates eligible for the Expedited Specialist Pathway or holding substantial comparability are welcome to apply.
- Extensive clinical experience in Adult Mental Health (experience in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry is highly regarded).
- Demonstrated commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development.
