Become part of a highly dedicated team of 15 doctors, 10 nurses and 11 administrators and various allied health professionals specialising in physiotherapy, dietetics, audiology, social work and podiatry. Additionally, the clinic hosts visiting specialists to ensure a comprehensive range of services for the community. Here, you will find everything you need to deliver top-quality patient care and achieve success.
Enjoy the flexibility to create a schedule that works perfectly for you, as the clinic operates 7 days a week, from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Take over an existing patient base and the opportunity to bill $40-60,000 per month.

The Position
This is an excellent opportunity for a VR General Practitioner with an interest in skin cancer medicine to join a well-established, high-demand skin and cosmetic clinic on the Bass Coast.
The role is initially offered on a part-time basis, with the flexibility to increase sessions to full-time as the clinic continues to expand. Following a recent GP departure and sustained patient demand, appointment books are consistently full, allowing new doctors to establish a busy schedule from commencement.
The clinic welcomes both local and Melbourne-based GPs. Flexible scheduling is available, and accommodation support can be provided for doctors travelling to the region, making it easy to work consecutive days while maintaining a metropolitan home base.
You will work across a mix of skin checks, procedures and follow-ups, with access to dedicated theatre time for biopsies, excisions, grafts and flaps.
Remuneration is offered at 65% of billings within a private billing model, providing excellent earning potential in a focused clinical environment.
The Practice
This is a boutique, purpose‑built skin and cosmetic clinic, designed to support high‑quality, efficient patient care. The practice is fully computerised using Best Practice and DermEngine, with four consulting rooms and a dedicated procedure room.
You’ll be joining a small but experienced team of three doctors, supported by five nurses (RN/EEN), a practice manager and administrative staff, ensuring strong procedural and clinical support.
The clinic has an established reputation within the community, delivering comprehensive skin cancer services alongside medical‑grade cosmetic treatments, with a loyal patient base and high referral demand.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday (with one late evening session) and there are no weekend or on‑call requirements, supporting an excellent work–life balance.
The Location
Situated in a growing regional hub approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne and 45 minutes from Phillip Island, this location offers a relaxed coastal lifestyle with strong community appeal.
The area provides access to beautiful beaches, coastal walking tracks and outdoor activities, alongside essential amenities including schools, cafes, supermarkets and a nearby hospital. On Call Requirements • You will be the sole Doctor on call 24/7. • You as the Locum Doctor will be called in for all triage categorie (1s to 5s) in-person between 0700 hrs and 2200 hrs. • Overnight from 2200 hrs until 0700 hrs the locum doctor will be required to review all Category 1, 2 and 3 ED Presentations in-person. • Overnight from 2200 hrs until 0700 hrs VRGS will cover Category 4 and 5 ED Presentations, however you will be required to attend if a clinician or the Registered Nurse calls you requesting your presence. • On-call the Locum Doctor will also be required at all times to attend inpatients that are deteriorating. • vCare are available in emergency situations (1800 492 227) to assist with support and escalation of a Patient within the facility that requires Emergency assistance, transfer to tertiary facility, advice from specialist teams, emergency birth assistance, Paediatric specialist care, Trauma and Burn specialist support. Fatigue breaks • Fatigue breaks are available if Doctor has an emergency, busy night/day and is feeling fatigued, however this must be discussed prior to taking any break with the Health Service Manager or ‘In charge’. Support is available via VRGS to provide doctor fatigue break if required.
