The Practice 

This practice is aligned with the vision of delivering integrated, coordinated care for better patient outcomes, housing a variety of medical services under one roof, such as pathology, imaging including ultrasounds, X-ray and even a CT scanner as well as physiotherapy. The role is best suited to a GP passionate about quality patient care and continuity of care across multiple services.  

The team of 14 experienced GPs and a whole team of support staff are committed to providing quality family medical care. The modern facility provides dedicated General Practice, dental and allied health services as well as Specialists all working hand in hand to deliver holistic patient care. Treatment and procedural areas with nursing support, a pharmacy, pathology and radiology (including X-ray, ultrasound and CT) complete the centre’s offering.  

All the doctors, allied health and staff have a strong work ethic and have built a supportive family culture. The collegiate atmosphere, the skill sets of the doctors and the excellent facilities have made this centre an integral part of the health care provision for the area. The centre is private-billing and open 365 days a year and offers a combined walk-in service and appointment based system, working systematically with each other across the opening hours of 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 6pm on weekends.

AHPRA ESP eligible GPs and GPs who hold Specialist Registration with AHPRA are eligible for this role.

RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway (substantially comparable) eligible international candidates are eligible for this role following an initial DPA placement to meet RACGP requirements.

The Clinic

A dedicated group of eight GPs currently work in this private billing practice that offers a range of services including immunisation programs, occupational health, chronic disease management and travel medicine. You will be supported by two highly trained nurses, a practice manager and an onsite dietician and psychologist so that your patients will experience holistic, optimal care.

The clinic provides consult rooms that are fully equipped, allowing you to perform skin cancer checks and minor surgical procedures. A pharmacy and pathology are available within the medical precinct for your and your patients’ convenience. The practice is open 7 days a week so you will be able to choose your hours according to your desired lifestyle.

The Location

The nation’s capital, Canberra is a delight for growing families and professionals as it has all the facilities, attractions, dining options and events that make it a unique and iconic destination. It is a three hours’ drive from Sydney however for those that call Canberra home, you will enjoy local festivals, wineries, native animals, arts and culture only a few minutes from your own doorstep. There are plenty of schools and reasonably affordable homes so you can relocate efficiently.

The Practice

This brand new, purpose-built medical centre will allow you to focus on family healthcare, giving you access to occupational health and allied health together with minor procedures. Join a supportive team of ten experienced family doctors, an on-site podiatrist, a practice manager and an assistant practice manager that will help you transition into your new role. The practice provides a wide range of services including chronic disease management, mental health, child health, diabetes risk assessment and skin cancer checks.

You will have the support of seven highly trained nurses.

You will benefit from flexible hours between the clinic’s opening hours, 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, leaving your evenings and weekends free to enjoy with family and friends.

The practice offers relocation assistance as well as an annual retention bonus scheme for long-term doctors. After the initial settling in period, the practice group can offer Medical Director opportunities as well enabling you to progress in your GP career development.

The Location

The area is an hour's drive north from central Sydney and around 90 minutes south from Newcastle, a gateway to the Central Coast’s pristine beaches, waterways and national parks. Many of the practice's GPs commute from northern Sydney. The practice is located within a shopping centre surrounded by several schools and local facilities for families. Enjoy superb seafood, endless water views and plenty of charm in numerous cafes and restaurants such as Young Barons, Ela Mesa and Costa Centrale.

Your weekends will be filled with outdoor adventures as you explore Tommos loop, Rocky Ponds and hike to the top of Staples lookout for fabulous views over Mount Wondabyne. There is always something to see and do at Central Coast! Watch kayakers paddle by, pelicans along the wharf and fishing boats on the horizon.
