The Practice

This mixed billing GP teaching practice is on the lookout for an enthusiastic GP to join their established team of six GPs, including two GP registrars.

Featuring eight consult rooms with large double windows, two theatres and three nurses’ rooms, you will be well-equipped to provide your patients with high quality medical care. Wavelength has helped three GPs from the UK and Ireland join this clinic over the past four years who continue to provide lovely feedback.

You can also take comfort in knowing that all your admin needs will be taken care of, as you will be supported by six receptionists, a practice manager and four registered nurses. The practice has taken your needs into consideration and offers a large staff room with an alfresco area to enjoy your lunch breaks, a conference and board room, use of a gym and even childcare facilities!

As a GP training practice, this clinic trains medical students, nurses and GP Registrars so an interest in medical education would be well-supported. For the right person, Clinical Educator/Supervisor roles are available.

This practice provides access to quality health care with a variety of allied health services. There are two physiotherapists, one psychologist, three exercise physiologists, audiologists, pathology, visiting dietician, diabetes educator and an orthotics and prosthetics specialist. Opening hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with optional Saturday work, offering you family friendly hours with evenings and weekends off to explore this gorgeous region.

The Location

Located 375km north of Brisbane, Bundaberg is also known as the lifestyle capital of Queensland. This region's most notable features include equable climate, relaxed and inviting lifestyle, affordable living, multiple state and private schools, modern shopping facilities and plentiful tourism destinations including easy access to internationally regarded treasures such as The Great Barrier Reef and Fraser Island National Park. Such factors, together with the friendliness of its residents, make this area a superb place to visit or reside in.

Bundaberg is home to a population of 90,000 and offers a climate that supports year-round outdoor living. Average summer temperatures range from 20°C to 29°C. Winter days are mild and dry, averaging 22°C. The region also boasts two private and one public hospital, along with a wide range of educational institutions and lifestyle amenities.

AHPRA ESP and RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates (substantially comparable), as well as GPs holding Specialist Registration with AHPRA, are eligible for this role.

GPs holding General Registration with AHPRA who have been accepted on to a fellowship pathway with either the RACGP or ACRRM are also welcome to apply.

The Practice

Join a well‑established, not‑for‑profit community health organisation operating multiple medical centres across North Brisbane and the Moreton Bay region. The organisation delivers holistic, patient‑centred care to a population with complex and chronic health needs, supported by strong clinical governance and integrated services.

Clinics operate a POD Model of Care, meaning each patient is supported by the same GP, nurse, receptionist and indigenous health workers throughout their care journey. This allows for genuine continuity and time to provide thorough, high‑quality care.

This lovely and caring clinic team prioritises quality and continuity of care, and with many patients presenting with complex health issues and care needs, appointments are generally 30 minutes, with doctors seeing 8 to 12 patients per day, supported by a 1:1 nurse and receptionist ratio at all times. While the clinics are bulk billing, GPs are salaried employees and therefore earnings are not affected by patient numbers or billings.

The organisation offers extensive allied health and visiting specialist support, including mental health services, psychology, diabetic education and multiple chronic disease programs. There is no on‑call or home visit requirement, and doctors are not expected to work across sites unless they wish to.

The practices are open between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday with Saturdays covered on a roster shared between all the doctors. GPs typically work full‑time (38 hours per week), though 32 hours per week can be considered and schedules can be tailored around school pick up times etc. to suit your lifestyle.

The clinics are located in Northern Brisbane and Moreton Bay region, covering a mix of established suburban and coastal‑adjacent communities. The area offers more affordable housing, excellent schools and strong community infrastructure, while remaining well connected to Brisbane CBD and within easy reach of the Sunshine Coast. Doctors can enjoy a balanced lifestyle with city access, family‑friendly neighbourhoods and outdoor living opportunities.
