      Conditions: The clinic follows a nurse-led model, with nurses playing a key role in supporting GPs through pre-screening, chronic disease reviews, and care planning. Nurses and Aboriginal Health Practitioners (AHPs) deliver advanced care per CARPA guidelines and work closely with GPs to provide comprehensive care. GPs focus on scheduled appointments and patients referred by nurses and AHPs. Operating hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Nurses manage acute cases and on-call duties, while GPs are not on-call. For emergencies and after-hours acute care, the NT Health deputizing service (DMO on-call) is utilized. Patient evacuations to Royal Darwin Hospital are arranged with CareFlight when needed.

Hours are 830am - 5pm with 1 hr for lunch, Monday to Friday only. Communicare software is used. There is much to do in this part of NSW - famed Lightning Ridge is less than an hour away where you can search for opals and visit the artesian bore baths that are 40 degrees all year round. Brewarrina is strongly grounded in its First Nations heritage, and is home to what is believed to be the oldest human construction on earth, the National Heritage listed Baiame’s Ngunnhu (Brewarrina Fish Traps).

Clinical support is provided by the Care Flight & District Medical Service via telephone consultations and medical retrievals. Royal Darwin Hospital is the regional hospital and provides tertiary care. Clinic hours are from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. On call is provided by RN's and Aboriginal Health Practitioners. A state police check & NT WWCC will be required along with immunisation evidence. The service uses PCIS, training given prior to locum if not used before. This is an opportunity to work within a dedicated team to advance the health outcomes of the Aboriginal community in West Arnhem region. Located in West Arnhem Land near Kakadu National Park, it provides access to some of Australia’s most significant Indigenous art sites, dramatic escarpments, and wetlands. Travel, car and accommodation is provided.
