A wide array of medical services include GP clinic, preventative health screening, chronic disease management, child health and immunisations, family health, sexual health, and drug and alcohol counselling.

Working Monday – Friday from 08:30am – 17:00pm, there is no on-call or weekend work and an additional benefit includes fortnightly rostered days off. Communicare software is used and consultation times are 20 minutes.

Other benefits include a salary of $390,000 plus super, 4 weeks of annual leave, access to salary packaging options, subsidised accommodation based in Walgett (only $250 per week), the provision of a work phone and laptop plus the potential to negotiate travel reimbursements from allowances for meals and incidentals to salary sacrifice arrangements for airfares and accommodation.

The Practice

Due to a longstanding female GP retiring, this privately owned, non-corporate clinic is looking for a GP to join their established team of 12 doctors, two of whom have a strong interest and skills in skin cancer. With the support of four receptionists and two to three nurses on site each day, you will look after 30 to 40 patients per day, depending on your own preferred work style, with the patient base offering a lovely mix of all age groups from young families through to elderly patients. The clinic features 11 GP rooms, a large treatment room and a separate procedure room so that you can provide the best possible healthcare and follow your special interests.

The practice can also offer assistance with initial accommodation for doctors relocating interstate or internationally. Conveniently situated in a popular shopping centre, a psychologist, pathology services and physio are available on site for your and your patient’s convenience. Operating hours are 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 4pm on weekends, allowing you to tailor your work schedule and achieve a lifestyle that suits you best!

AHPRA ESP and RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates (substantially comparable) as well as GPs holding Specialist Registration with AHPRA are eligible for this role.
