Two locations, one purpose

Tropical Townsville beckons! This longstanding clinic that has been caring for the local community for 30 years and undergone renovations in 2020. The practice operates from two sites in neighbouring suburbs 20 minutes from central Townsville, with two hospitals only ten minutes away. You will be working alongside three other doctors as well as a team of reception staff, nurses and a highly experienced practice manager.

Your special interests will be supported and the established GPs focus on chronic disease management, aged care, dermatology, skin excisions and women’s health. You will be part of a dedicated team that continue to improve the education and experience in indigenous health as well as general family medicine. There are various allied health services available so you will be able to provide optimal healthcare for your patients.

Both clinics are open five and six days per week, 8am to 5/6pm respectively and the Saturday morning hours 8am to 1pm are covered by a shared, non-onerous 1:4-6 roster.

On-call work is not required but can be arranged if desired. The team prides itself on providing all their team members with work satisfaction and a healthy work life balance.

Essential Criteria

DPA position and visa sponsorship are available.

RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates (both substantially and partially comparable) and GPs holding Specialist Registration with AHPRA are eligible for this role.

GPs holding General Registration with AHPRA, who have been accepted on to a fellowship pathway with either the RACGP or ACRRM are also welcome to apply.
