The Practice

Enjoy the benefits of flexible working hours, with the practice operating from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. You can tailor your schedule while providing care to approximately 24 patients per day.

The Location

This practice is located in a beautiful rural town with picturesque landscape shaped by vast farmlands and the region offers a serene escape for outdoor adventures. Essential Criteria

In order to be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand, you must either have practised in a comparable health system for at least 33 months (for at least 30 hours per week) of the 48 months prior to application OR have a primary medical degree from the UK or Ireland and have completed your internship within the UK or Ireland.

The Practice

Located only 15 minutes from central Cairns, this state-of-the-art medical centre is seeking a doctor to help look after their patients. The established team of seven GPs are supported by a team of nurses and a dedicated practice manager, so you can focus on looking after your patients. The patient base is nice and varied and includes families, elderly, indigenous and refugee health, along with skin checks and related procures and also diabetes as a common health concern in this area. 

This mixed-billing clinic features 10 consulting rooms, two treatment rooms, an onsite pharmacy, pathology, physiotherapist, dietician, exercise physiologist and psychologist which offers your patients convenient access to various allied health services. Education with CPD points is available as well as financial incentives for fixed-term commitment.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with a 4pm finish on Wednesdays and Fridays, providing excellent work-life balance – your evenings and weekends are yours to enjoy exploring this beautiful tropical region.

The Location

The practice is in Cairns, Queensland, 15 minutes north from the city centre, in an area with large shopping area that also features a pharmacy and pathology for your and your patients’ convenience. Your weekends will be filled with adventure as you explore this beautiful coastal region in Far North Queensland – Discover Daintree National Park with its mountainous rainforest, gorges and beaches, snorkel the Great Barrier Reef or sample the variety of bars and restaurants that lines Cairns Esplanade, after spending the day at the swimming lagoon.

DPA position and visa sponsorship are available.

AHPRA ESP and RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates (substantially comparable) and GPs holding Specialist Registration with AHPRA are eligible for this role.
