      Conditions: The service provides expert health care and leading programs which focus on Aboriginal culture, youth, education and all aspects of healthy living in a remote rural community for Aboriginal people. There is a GP service 5 days a week which is supported by the friendly team and works in partnership with visiting Specialists and local service providers who frequent the practice. Hours are 830am - 5pm with 1 hr for lunch, Monday to Friday only. Communicare software is used. There is much to do in this part of NSW - famed Lightning Ridge is less than an hour away where you can search for opals and visit the artesian bore baths that are 40 degrees all year round. Brewarrina is strongly grounded in its First Nations heritage, and is home to what is believed to be the oldest human construction on earth, the National Heritage listed Baiame’s Ngunnhu (Brewarrina Fish Traps).

      Conditions: Work is within a multi-disciplinary team delivering clinical and public health services to the residents of the Gunbalanya community and surrounding outstations. Clinical support is provided by the Care Flight & District Medical Service via telephone consultations and medical retrievals. Royal Darwin Hospital is the regional hospital and provides tertiary care. Clinic hours are from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. On call is provided by RN's and Aboriginal Health Practitioners. A state police check & NT WWCC will be required along with immunisation evidence. The service uses PCIS, training given prior to locum if not used before. This is an opportunity to work within a dedicated team to advance the health outcomes of the Aboriginal community in West Arnhem region. Located in West Arnhem Land near Kakadu National Park, it provides access to some of Australia’s most significant Indigenous art sites, dramatic escarpments, and wetlands. Travel, car and accommodation is provided.

      Conditions:  Clinical handover at 0800 with outgoing or incoming obstetricians in Maternity ward or by telephone  Daily inpatient maternity ward rounds from 0800 - 0900.  The shift is 24 hours in total, 4 hours to be onsite also including weekend coverage to conduct antenatal clinics as needed, particularly for patients at or beyond 36 weeks who may not have been seen yet by the Obstetrician on call.  Assist with the Provision of Onsite Gynaecology Services for the ED if required by the ED locum, after escalation via vCare as needed such as Bartholin’s cyst/abscess  Manage early labour and pregnancy loss including D & C and manual removal of placenta.  Provide comprehensive assessment of the neonate prior to discharge including documentation in eMR and personal health record as needed.  Provide assessments for inductions of labour as scheduled.  Provide antenatal and postnatal outpatient clinic services as scheduled.  Document daily ward rounds, complete discharge summaries and review obstetrics, gynaecology and neonatal patients admitted or presenting to the maternity ward or emergency as requested.  Complete contemporaneous and comprehensive clinical documentation in eMR and eMaternity.  Provide and lead clinical review, rapid response, obstetric emergencies and neonatal resuscitation for maternity and neonatal patients across the facility.  Check pathology and radiology results in the maternity results message centre ordered by any doctor, follow-up and document management plans for any results needed further action and review any patients returning for follow-up of results.  Provide medical support for the Lachlan MAPPS and MGP midwifery models of care.  Participate in the training and supervision of students, junior medical officers and registrars.  Participate in maternity team meetings, morbidity and mortality meetings, MDT meetings and other clinical meetings as requested.
