The Practice

A modern and well-established mixed billing practice is looking to replace one of their full-time GPs that recently moved interstate. There has also been in an increase in patient demand, calling for an additional doctor to join the team to service the growing local community. This is a rare opportunity, with a DPA position available in a location just over an hour from the iconic Melbourne CBD. With natural lighting in the three consult rooms, you will be working in a new building that is well-equipped with everything you need. There is on-site parking for your convenience and a kitchen and staff room to relax and unwind with the other three doctors at the practice. 

If you seek variety in your day-to-day, look no further! With a mixed patient demographic visiting the practice, you will be able to utilize your full set of GP skills and experience. The practice has a podiatrist, diabetes educator and pathology on-site, with other allied health services nearby. With one nurse and one receptionist assisting each day, you will feel supported to ensure your patients receive the best possible care. 

Practice hours are a family friendly 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and a late start of 1pm to 4pm on Saturdays. There is no on-call commitment and no Sunday hours, allowing you to enjoy your time off with family and friends.

The suburb is family friendly, with an array of schooling options and universities within the surrounding areas.

For those without children this is still a very trendy area filled with everything a bustling and lively city has to offer to keep you entertained. With it being conveniently located only 50 minutes from Melbourne city centre, you can easily enjoy the many attractions Melbourne has to offer: the MCG, theatres and shows, shops and markets, especially the world-famous Queen Victoria Markets; and take a wander down one of the many laneways and sample the amazing food and coffee.  

Essential Criteria 

DPA position and visa sponsorship are available.  

RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates (substantially comparable) and GPs holding Specialist Registration with AHPRA are eligible for this role. Women’s health experience and skills are highly desirable, however not essential for the position.
