Canadian GPs can smoothly transition to practising in Australia via the RACGP Comparability Assessment and PEP Specialist Program, with comprehensive support from Wavelength.

Are you a Canadian-trained GP holding the Certification in the College of Family Physicians (CCFP)? If so, you may be closer than you think to starting your medical career in Australia.
We’ve recently supported several Canadian GPs through the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Comparability Assessment with very positive outcomes. Many CCFP doctors are being assessed as Substantially Comparable, meaning their training and experience are recognised as equivalent to that of an Australian-trained GP at the point of admission to Fellowship. This recognition makes the job search process quicker and smoother, as employers are familiar with this pathway and confident in your ability to transition into practice.
About the PEP Specialist Program
About the PEP Specialist Program
The Practice Experience Program Specialist (PEP SP) is designed for Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) who hold a recognised overseas general practice qualification, such as the CCFP, and wish to obtain Fellowship of the RACGP (FRACGP) and specialist recognition in Australia. Through the program, you’ll receive structured support and supervision for 6–12 months, helping you transition smoothly into the Australian healthcare system.
Are You Eligible?
Contact us now if you:
- Hold the Certification in the College of Family Physicians (CCFP).
