The Practice

This is an opportunity for a GP with a strong interest in women’s health to join a well-established, purpose-built clinic within Melbourne’s western suburbs. The practice is home to a large team of 13 female GPs and a range of specialist and allied health providers, creating a highly collaborative environment focused on delivering comprehensive care to women and their families.

The clinic provides care across all stages of life, with services including fertility and family planning, antenatal and postnatal care, menopause management, gynaecological support, iron infusions, children's health, disease prevention, and general family medicine. Patients also benefit from access to onsite pathology, gynaecology, dietetics, obstetric and gynaecological sonography, and other specialist services.

Housed within a modern, architecturally designed facility, the practice features dedicated consulting and treatment rooms, specialist suites and purpose-built procedural areas. You'll be supported by an experienced nursing and administrative team, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality patient care. The clinic operates under a mixed billing model and offers flexibility around sessions, with operating hours spanning Monday to Saturday.

The Practice

This innovative practice is looking for a GP to join a team of 13 doctors where you will take over an existing patient base and be fully booked in the shortest time. The clinic consists of 13 consulting rooms, two procedure rooms, two acupuncture rooms and a 2-bed treatment room. You will be well supported by a large group of clinical and admin staff. A wide range of allied health services are available including sports health, men’s and women’s health, vasectomy centre, medical acupuncture, cosmetic clinic and travel health. The practice is open 7 days, giving you the flexibility to choose your working hours from 8am to 11pm. There is a chemist and café on site as well as three hospitals within proximity. You’ll be able to provide good quality healthcare in a safe and friendly environment, together with good remuneration. You will have the convenience of parking on premises and access to staff / kitchen amenities.

The Practice

This friendly and laid-back practice consists of two GP partners plus regular locum, three practice nurses, one practice manager, three receptionists and the visiting dermatologist comes once month. The practice itself is equipped with nine consulting rooms, one treatment room, five nurses’ rooms, office and staffroom.

The clinic is open 8am to 6pm and doctors generally work a flexible 8-hour day . On call is very minimal and not at all. Appointments are set at 15-minute intervals which is really manageable and will ensure you are not overloaded. This is a laid-back team who like to get the job done but enjoy life at the same time. The Location

The town is Located 90 kilometres north of Wellington and 50 kilometres south of Palmerston North with a population around 20,000. This town serves the local agricultural community and also has a thriving clothing industry, so is known as a factory outlet shopping destination. With the Tasman Sea coast on one side and the Tararua Ranges on the other, the area offers a wide range of outdoor adventures. Several different schools are available, and the weather is great!

Essential Criteria

In order to be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a GP, you must have worked at least 36 months of the past 48 months in a comparable health system, or you will need to hold suitable postgraduate qualifications and have worked at least 24 months of the past 36 months in a comparable health system.
