The Practice

Join a well-established, accredited mixed-billing with a team of 15 GPs and a strong reputation within the local community. Due to ongoing patient demand, the practice is seeking one to two full-time GPs to join the team over the coming months. You'll be supported by full-time nursing staff, an experienced administration team, an on-site Practice Manager, pathology services, and a broad range of allied health professionals. The ultra-modern facility includes 16 consulting rooms, six treatment rooms, a dedicated procedure room, and uses Best Practice software. This is a genuinely busy practice where new doctors can expect to establish a full patient base within just 1-2 weeks. The mixed billing model provides excellent earning potential, with existing GPs generating strong weekly incomes while maintaining flexibility over their consulting style and patient volumes. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am to 6pm and 7:30am to 5pm on Saturdays, with optional Saturdays, offering you plenty of flexibility to choose your own hours to suit.

The Practice

This practice group is looking to offer a committed and caring GP the opportunity to develop their skillset in this well-established practice.

The fully computerised clinic features ten consultation rooms along with a treatment room and specialised skin treatment room. The Practice is home to GPs with a wide range of special interests who are supported by five nurses and two care plan nurses.

The clinic recently moved from mixed billings to full bulk billings to utilise the new bulk billing incentives.

This is a large, multi-disciplinary clinic with on-site pathology which offers a variety of career development opportunities and the option to pursue special interests such as skin/dermatology, teaching and training and clinical leadership, amongst others.

This clinic's opening hours are Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm. Saturday mornings are optional and hours can be discussed to suit your preferences. Free on-site parking is available for GPs.

The Location

Situated on the north coast of New South Wales, this town is known for its white sandy beaches, tranquil river and sparkling ocean. The area has 37 kilometres of natural coastline which offer superb surfing conditions for all skill levels. The numerous national parks and the subtropical climate create a unique array of flora and fauna. The town is a relaxed mid-sized shire with a great community of people who love the area. It has an active culture with nearby hinterland areas providing walking, hiking, and camping. The real estate market in the area is healthy with a growing popularity in younger families looking for affordable housing and lifestyle.

With proximity to schools, a university campus, the Gold Coast CBD and plenty of fun, Southport draws a broad crowd. Parts of Southport are affordable and less built-up (a combination that is tough to find on the Gold Coast). Students come from all over the world to study medicine and dentistry at Southport, where there is a University Hospital and health education precinct run by Griffith University.

AHPRAESP and RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates (substantially comparable) as well as GPs holding Specialist Registration with AHPRA are eligible for this role.
