The Practice

Due to high patient demand this well-established mixed-billing practice is seeking a GP to join their highly experienced team. To ensure quality care, the current team of five GPs holds fortnightly clinical educational meetings with local and visiting specialists and participate in medical student training with the Rural Clinical School. The practice’s convenient city centre location has attracted a diverse and loyal patient following with up to 780 patients per week.  

The practice is fully computerised, offers seven GP consult rooms and supports their current GPs’ special interests which include occupational health, venesections, infusions, dermatology, vaccinations and travel medicine. Experienced occupational health and treatment room nurses are available at all times for support. Practice opening hours are 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm on Saturday, with the Saturday cover being shared amongst the team.

Situated in the Pilbara region of North Western Australia this is one of the largest and fastest growing cities in the area and is known as “Munjaree”, or the “Heart of the Pilbara Coast”. With a warm climate all year round, it’s a great place to escape the colder weather further south. The remoteness of this developing city contributes to its stunning landscape and beauty. Covering some 500,000 square kilometres of land, the Pilbara contains three world class national parks, including Rudall River and Karijini - regarded as one of Australia’s most stunning natural assets.  

This spectacular remote location will let you settle into an active life outside of the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Swim with the whale sharks along Ningaloo Reef for an adventure you won’t forget, explore the waterfalls and stunning scenery of the national parks which feature rock formations over 2.5 billion years old. Essential Criteria 

DPA position and visa sponsorship are available.  

AHPRA ESP and RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates (substantially comparable only) and GPs holding Specialist Registration with AHPRA are eligible for this role. 

GPs holding General Registration with AHPRA, who have been accepted on to a fellowship pathway with either the RACGP or ACRRM and do not require n site supervision are also welcome to apply.

The Practice

This purpose-built medical centre will allow you to focus on family healthcare, giving you access to occupational health and allied health together with minor procedures. Join a supportive team of ten GPs, seven nurses, an on-site podiatrist, a dedicated practice manager and an assistant practice manager who will help you transition into your new role. The practice provides a wide range of services including chronic disease management, mental health, child health, diabetes risk assessment and skin cancer checks and welcomes additional special interests.

You will benefit from flexible hours between the clinic’s opening hours, 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, leaving your evenings and weekends free to enjoy with family and friends.

The practice offers relocation assistance as well as an annual retention bonus scheme for long-term doctors. 

The Location

The area is an hour's drive north from central Sydney and around 90 minutes south from Newcastle, a gateway to the Central Coast’s pristine beaches, waterways and national parks. Many of the practice's GPs commute from northern Sydney. The practice is located within a shopping centre surrounded by several schools and local facilities for families. Enjoy superb seafood, endless water views and plenty of charm in numerous cafes and restaurants such as Young Barons, Ela Mesa and Costa Centrale.

Your weekends will be filled with outdoor adventures as you explore Tommos loop, Rocky Ponds and hike to the top of Staples lookout for fabulous views over Mount Wondabyne. There is always something to see and do at Central Coast! Watch kayakers paddle by, pelicans along the wharf and fishing boats on the horizon.
