Details
Preference for 1 dr to cover the entire placement. Completion of SDPR training is a requirement of this role, please ensure your Dr is committed to completing the training. Please read below role description. No weekends or Public holidays are required- (please note there is an additional public holiday in the week following Christmas- TBA listed below until confirmation of the day is gazetted). Locum C&A Psychiatrist to cover Community CAMHS Safeguard team and John Hunter Children's Hospital based CAMHS CL team. Preferably in person but telehealth and mix of telehealth and in person can be negotiated Preferably full time but part time cover can also be negotiated CAMHS Safeguard team is a community-based team with hub and spoke model, the hub being located in Newcastle region. A non-medical team leader provides operational leadership. There are two other Psychiatrist working in the team. The Locum Psychiatrist will be required to work with team leader to provide co-leadership in clinical governance meetings. The Locum Psychiatrist will be required to review young people and families/carers in person or by telehealth. There are also 3 Registrars allocated to the team who will need support and supervision from Locum Psychiatrist. John Hunter Children's Hospital based CAMHS CL team is based at CAMHS in-patient unit Nexus. It includes a couple of non-medical clinicians, a Registrar and a Clinical leader. They provide CL service to young people in John Hunter Children's Hospital ED and Paediatric units at JHCH including in-patient eating disorder program located on Paediatric unit. They also provide in person/telehealth-based CL service to couple of rural and regional hospitals in HNE LHD.
