The Practice

Step into a well-established, largely private-billing GP teaching clinic that has proudly served the Newcastle community for nearly 70 years. The team consists of seven experienced doctors with diverse specialties including aged care, women’s health, paediatrics, sports medicine, antenatal care, geriatric care, skin cancer and family medicine. Supported by three nurses, six administrative staff, a practice manager and a business development manager, the clinic fosters a collaborative, family-friendly atmosphere focused on high-quality patient care.

Located conveniently near a private hospital and several other healthcare facilities, this practice is positioned to serve a broad patient demographic, from families to the elderly. Opening hours are currently 8:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am to 12:30pm on Saturdays, with the Saturday mornings shared between the GPs. The practice is exploring extending their opening hours to 9pm during the week, offering more options for flexible working hours and added opportunities to bill after-hours Medicare item numbers.

The Practice

A busy and modern clinic located in a shopping precinct is looking for a dedicated doctor to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. This is a terrific opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive practice that is keen to work with their doctors to ensure they earn well while enjoying work-life balance.

The clinic prides itself in its caring, tight-knit team with a family feel who all look out for each other and enjoy each other’s company. You will be working alongside three other GPs in a purpose-built facility that boasts four consulting rooms, a treatment room and a nurse room. With the guidance of a practice manager, a nurse and five reception staff, this DPA approved practice has a pharmacy next door and is only 10 minutes away from the hospital, so support is always on hand when needed.

Practice opening hours are family friendly, 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 3pm Saturday, with no evening hours and the Saturday morning shared on a roster. Relocation expenses or support with initial rental accommodation can also be negotiated, helping you make the move and have somewhere to arrive to.

The Practice

Join a supportive team of four highly qualified GPs in a well-established practice featuring six consulting rooms, as well as a treatment room, reception area, staff facilities and parking. This mixed billing clinic largely bills privately and is owned and run by a UK trained GP who has been calling Australia home for over eight years. There are receptionists and two nurses available five days a week to provide you with support and ensure your days runs smoothly. Located next to a pharmacy in the same complex, this practice is near a shopping village and local hospital.

This is a great opportunity to focus on family health care within the community, as patients are mainly young families and retirees. To help you settle in, the practice is happy to offer accommodation for four weeks and four weeks car rental or $10,000 relocation assistance.

Take advantage of the practice’s family-friendly opening hours, 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. The practice is not open in the evenings or weekend, which means more time for you to enjoy quality work-life balance.
