The Position
An exciting opportunity exists for an Addiction Specialist to join a progressive multidisciplinary service delivering evidence-based care across a broad range of alcohol and other drug presentations.
Working across inpatient, outpatient and consultation-liaison services, you'll provide specialist assessment and management for patients experiencing substance use disorders while contributing to service development, education and clinical governance activities. The role offers exposure to a diverse case mix and the opportunity to work within a recovery-oriented model alongside highly experienced multidisciplinary teams.
This position would suit either an Addiction Medicine Physician or Addiction Psychiatrist seeking a substantive specialist role within a large public healthcare environment committed to innovation, quality improvement and patient-centred care.
The Service
The service provides a comprehensive range of addiction treatment programs, supporting adults and young people across community and hospital settings. The multidisciplinary team includes specialist medical staff, nursing, allied health and support services working collaboratively to deliver integrated care.
Opportunities exist to participate in education, supervision and research activities, with academic affiliations available for appropriately qualified candidates.

Essential Criteria
Fellowship of RACP (FAChAM) and/or RANZCP, or equivalent specialist qualifications assessed as substantially comparable, for eligibility for the expedited specialist pathway.
Specialist registration, or eligibility for specialist registration, with AHPRA
Experience in Addiction Medicine and/or Addiction Psychiatry
Eligible to work in Australia, with sponsorship available for suitable candidates
