Experience: Emergency, Trauma, Adult & Paediatric Support, sound clinical judgement and communicate appropriately. On-call requirements: You will be the sole Doctor on call 24/7. You as the Locum Doctor will be called in for all triage categories (1s to 5s) in-person between 0800 hrs and 2000 hrs.Overnight from 2000 hrs until 0800 hrs the locum doctor will be required to review all Category 1, 2 and 3 ED Presentations in-person. Overnight from 2000 hrs until 0800 hrs you will be responsible for Category 4 and 5 ED Presentations, an in-person review will be at your discretion. However you will be required to attend if a clinician or the Registered Nurse calls you requesting your presence. On-call will also require you at all times to attend inpatients that are deteriorating. vCare are available in emergency situations (1800 492 227) Hours required to be on-site: 8am ward rounds, followed by ED reviews etc - finish time to be negotiated with site. Must return to the ED when requested by nursing staff at any time. Type of Doctor required: GP with Emergency Department Experience. Medicare Provider number requirements: Full billings or refer and request billing rights acceptable. Information on site: Cobar is a small rural health service with a built capacity of 10 acute/subacute beds. Services provided include: • 24 hour emergency care • Acute and subacute inpatient services including rehabilitation, respite and palliative care • Outpatient services • A range of primary and community health care services• Renal Dialysis • Community Health – wound management, medication delivery, hospital in the home, chronic disease case management and palliative care • Child and family health – immunisation, child health checks, referral resource -Specialist medical and Allied Health visit as part of an outreach service from Dubbo and Orange. It is Communicare software in use (an orientation can be provided) and services provided include health checks, immunisations, medical education and medication. In this tourist location located near Uluru, you will see a mix of tourists, employees of the resort town and Indigenous patients in this well run clinic. The Yulara Clinic is open 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 9:30am to 5:00pm Wednesday and 8:30am to 12:00pm Thursday whilst the Imanpa Clinic is open 8:30am to 5:00pm Tuesday, 9:30am to 5:00pm Wednesday and 8:30am to 12:00pm Thursday. With 3 weeks minimum cover required, $2000 is paid daily and flights provided. For the car, this is provided for travel to/from work and shopping so if you wish to sight-see then you will need to book your own hire car. The role involves scheduled theatre lists during the day and being on call overnight (Required to provide airway support in Emergency Department as needed whilst on-call). GP Anaesthetists will assist with elective lists, emergency cases, and obstetrics. Plus, locums presenting for more than 7 days on-call will require 2 mandatory rest days for fatigue management.
