| Conditions: | This solo GP clinic, based 2.5 hours from Melbourne, is requiring support for a period whilst the permanent GP is on leave and the local health service has stepped in to assist with this process. It is a small independent practice requiring support Monday – Friday each week, with 15-minute standard consultation times and Medical Director software in use. It is primarily an elderly patient base with a population of just over 3000 and there is nursing and PM support within the clinic plus the DMS from the local health service and other GP’s in the region. Within the clinic there are diagnostic imaging facilities available including ultrasound and X-ray as well as a clinical lab and phlebotomy. Alongside the clinic work you will also ideally be able to provide 2hrs of support in the aged care facilities each week and within usual clinic hours, with one facility being public and the other being private. There is also then the option to assist with the UCC where there is a 1:7 on call roster as well as the option to assist with the acute ward (primarily within clinic hours) and whereby you can have a say in what you feel comfortable admitting. Any very acute cases tend to be send to Bendigo or Ballarat directly. The service then utilises the Victorian Virtual ED service or My Emergency doctor to assist with afterhours support. The daily rate of $1600 - $2000 per day is paid and can be dependent on which duties you are happy to assist with. There will also be a process of credentialing with the health service which we will assist you with where possible. Self-contained accommodation and travel is also provided. This underrated country town boomed during the 1850s gold rush and today, you can still see grand historic buildings, wide verandas, and heritage streets that give the town real character. Alongside this gold-rush history, you will also find a relaxed pace of life, beautiful streetscapes, and nature nearby. | |||
