The Practice
A not-for-profit Aboriginal Medical Service bids farewell to a GP and is looking for the right candidate to join their team of doctors early next year in providing the community with much needed healthcare. This teaching practice is home to eight GPs, with two full-time doctors that are on-site and six FIFO GPs, all with varying interests. You will be working alongside a team of experienced doctors in providing ultimate healthcare to the community.
The practice is committed to quality care, including chronic disease management and prevention and is ideally looking for a doctor with an interest in remote/ regional and/or Aboriginal health. Doctors at this clinic usually work to 20 minutes appointments, seeing 3 patients per hour. The practice is offering flexibility around working arrangements, including both contractor and salaried employment agreements, and is providing relocation assistance, private use of a vehicle and residential accommodation to ensure you feel settled and at home.
This fully computerised practice features 17 fully equipped consulting rooms as well as several treatments rooms. You will be supported by an experienced team of practice admin staff including registered nurses and aboriginal health workers. You can focus on helping patients, knowing that your day will run smoothly, and your patients will be taken care of from the moment they walk through the door. For the convenience of your patients the practice has outreach facilities, an onsite multidisciplinary team offering a wide range of allied health services, as well as visiting specialists, dental services and pharmacist.
The opening hours of the practice are 8:30am to 5pm from Monday to Friday. With no weekends or on-call, your free time is yours to spend with family and friends.
