Two Decades of Dedication: Honouring Claudine’s Milestone
Celebrating Claudine’s 20-year anniversary at Wave Medical Recruitment and her role in shaping our AFR Best Places to Work culture and success.

This week, we’re thrilled to celebrate a truly remarkable milestone: Claudine’s 20-year anniversary at Wave. Two decades with one organisation is an extraordinary achievement – and Claudine has reached it with warmth, integrity, and a deep commitment to people.
Her journey reflects the very values that recently earned Wave recognition as one of AFR’s Best Places to Work in 2025 – a workplace where people are supported, valued, and encouraged to grow. Claudine has helped shape that culture from the inside out.
Looking back on where it all began, Claudine admits she didn’t have a clear path to recruitment. “I’m not really sure what drew me to recruitment specifically,” she says, “except that I knew I loved working with people—and recruitment is a ‘people person’ job.”
That simple motivation has blossomed into a true passion for improving healthcare outcomes. “I’m passionate about getting the right doctors into the right hospital to ensure that there is a seamless running of the hospital,” she adds.
From Steady Steps to Lasting Impact
Claudine’s proudest achievement in her career is refreshingly down-to-earth: “Making it to 20 years without too much drama!” She’s been a steady, grounding force at Wave - one who leads by example, solves problems quietly, and is never too busy to help.
She’s also a firm believer in listening to your instincts. “Trust your gut,” she says, when asked for the most valuable lesson she’s learned over the years. And for those just starting out at, she offers advice that rings true for every Wavie, “Ask questions, don’t sweat the small stuff, and be organised.”
An Unforgettable Memory
Of course, a 20-year career comes with its share of blurry photos and memorable moments – but one in particular has become something of a legend around the office.
“The most memorable thing that’s happened is my waters breaking at work – three weeks early!” Claudine recalls. “It certainly took me by surprise, but I wouldn’t leave the office until I had finished my confirmation letters.” It’s a moment that perfectly captures her calm under pressure, and fierce commitment to her work – even in the middle of labour!
Life Beyond Wave
Outside of work, Claudine is most passionate about her family. “I want to give my two boys a beautiful childhood,” she shares. “We do a lot of outdoorsy stuff on the weekends, which we all enjoy.” Whether she’s exploring nature with her family or solving a staffing challenge, Claudine brings thoughtfulness, energy, and perspective to everything she does.
Thank you, Claudine for the incredible legacy you’ve built over the past 20 years. Your presence has made a difference; not just in the lives of your colleagues, but in hospitals across the country. You’ve helped make Wave one of the best places to work, and we’re so proud to celebrate this milestone with you.
Here’s to you – and to the next chapter in your journey!
