Spring has arrived and with it plenty of exciting news from the Wavelength GP team.
First, a warm welcome back to Anna Mullins, who has rejoined the GP locum team and is featured elsewhere in this newsletter. We would also like to thank Emma Chadwick for the energy and commitment she brought while Anna was away and wish her every success in her next chapter. Looking ahead, Charlie Hellmundt will return from maternity leave in November, and we are delighted to be adding a new GP recruiter to the team in December.
Next month you can catch us in Perth at the Rural Medicine Australia (RMA) Conference, 23–25 October at Booth 4. This annual gathering of rural generalists and health professionals is the highlight of the rural medicine calendar, offering clinical updates, practical workshops and plenty of opportunities to connect. We would love for you to visit the Wavelength stand. If you are attending, let us know so we can set aside a time to meet.
We are also proud to again partner with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Health Service Contract, this year as the exclusive recruitment partner for four critical GP roles across Wagga, ACT, Townsville and Albury/Wodonga. If working with the ADF has ever been on your radar, now is the perfect moment to explore the possibilities.
Listening to your feedback, we've refreshed our website to make it a truly active jobs board. Hospital vacancies will now appear automatically as soon as they reach us from health services, making it easier than ever to stay across the latest opportunities. We would love to hear what other features you would find valuable and remember we are always happy to plan bespoke locums based on your individual preferences.
To celebrate the season we've launched our Spring Referral Program, running 1 September to 30 November 2025. Doctors can earn double rewards, up to $1,500 in eGift Cards, for successful referrals, and those who have not worked with us for over 12 months can also access the same double bonus when they return. Full details and terms are available here.
Finally, many Aboriginal Medical Services (AMS) have already released their 2026 locum schedules, making this the ideal time to plan next year’s roster. Early planning is key to securing your preferred locations and dates, so please get in touch to discuss your availability or to enquire about specific roles.
From all of us in the GP team, thank you for your ongoing partnership. We look forward to seeing many of you at RMA Perth and to working together on another season of rewarding locum opportunities.
