On the Same Wavelength - Even from Bali!

Explore how Wavelength’s Wave Worldwide perk lets staff work from abroad—and helped us become one of AFR’s Best Places to Work.

At Wavelength, flexibility isn’t just a buzzword—it’s built into the way we work. And in April 2025, that commitment was recognised when we were named one of the AFR’s Best Places to Work

One of the standout reasons? Wave Worldwide—our initiative that empowers team members to work remotely from international destinations. Whether it’s extending a trip, visiting family abroad, or simply finding inspiration in a new setting, WW gives our people the freedom to work - and live - on their own terms.

First stop: Bali!

One of our Wavies, Belinda - recently made the most of the perk, swapping their usual workspace for the beaches of Bali. Over four weeks, she combined one week of remote work, 1.5 weeks of annual leave, and another 1.5 weeks of remote work.

“It’s honestly been seamless,” says Belinda. “As long as you’ve got a stable internet connection and you're mindful of time zones, it feels just like a normal workday—only with better views!”

Belinda also gave a shoutout to our amazing Genisys IT team: “Four days in and no issues. They've made it incredibly easy.”

What flexibility really looks like

For this Wavie, the beauty of Wave Worldwide is in slowing down and soaking up local life.

“Usually when I travel, I’m moving every few days to squeeze everything in. But with Wave Worldwide, I can set up in one place for a while and explore on the weekends. Every day feels like a pinch-me moment.”

It’s also a clever way to stretch annual leave. “By the time my leave started, I was already in the country I wanted to explore—it made the transition from work to holiday feel so natural.”

Would they do it again?

Absolutely. This was Belinda's first time using Wave Worldwide—but definitely not the last.

“I’m loving it so far, and I’m excited about the future possibilities this opens up.”

Whether it’s Bali, Barcelona, or beyond, Wave Worldwide reflects the kind of culture Wavelength is proud to foster - one rooted in trust, autonomy, and a global mindset.

And as one of AFR’s Best Places to Work, we’re not stopping here. Because when we empower our people to thrive - wherever they are - we all move forward together.

Thinking about your next move? If you’re looking for a place where flexibility, purpose, and people come first, we’d love to hear from you. Explore current opportunities to join the team or reach out for a chat.
