== The Position == As an Emergency Medicine Registrar, you will find yourself joining a team dedicated to providing excellent patient care as you are supported by Staff Specialists and the Director of Emergency Medicine. You will assist with the management of patients as you provide clinical and administrative support. You will utilise your previous experience, whilst also having the opportunity to progress with your development as you experience workplace based training and education. These roles can vary from PHO to Registrar level and can be accredited for up to 12 months of ACEM training. The Hospital This hospital forms part of the largest health service in Queensland which serves a residential population of around one million people or 23 per cent of Queensland population. Services on offer include general surgery, acute mental health, paediatrics and maternity care along with emergency medicine. In 2012, a multi-million dollar expansion of the emergency and paediatric services saw the addition of a dedicated paediatric emergency waiting and treatment area as well as an extended emergency short stay unit. == The Location == Based along the southeast of the Brisbane metropolitan area, this coastal city offers the best of both worlds. It is a family friendly area with good schooling and plenty of accommodation options, plus you can easily access the nearby North Stradbroke Island where you can try four-wheel driving, snorkelling and diving. == Essential Criteria == With AHPRA General Registration and a minimum of 2 years previous PHO experience, these roles can vary in level dependent on previous experience.
