== The Position ==   As a Specialist in Anaesthesia, you will provide the highest quality of care to patients presented to the department. Reporting to the Director of Anaesthetics, you will provide a high quality anaesthetic service including both clinical and administrative duties for the Department.   The ideal candidate is someone who has sound clinical experience and skills within the field; enthusiasm for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students; a demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education; and a demonstrated ability and willingness to work with a team ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to service delivery.   The Hospital   The Hospital serves as the main referral centre for the region and features a newly built seven-storey ward block. This new build provides space for an expanded critical care service, extended emergency care unit, and helipad for trauma patients. The hospital has 230 beds and services and an immediate and surrounding area population of roughly 250,000 people. As the regional referral centre for emergency services, the facility sees an approximate 45,000 ED presentations per year and a total of 22,000 admissions. There is a great variety of clinical presentations. More specifically, the Department of Anaesthesiology provides anaesthetic services for obstetrics, gynaecology, orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, ENT and dental procedures.
