Two neighbouring hospitals are seeking Emergency Medicine Specialists to join their growing teams. Both hospitals are in the process of redevelopment with expansions planned for their emergency departments. You can base yourself at one facility or work across the two settings for variation. This role can be designed to suit you with the opportunity to work in a VMO capacity or as a Staff Specialist; you decide.  The Hospital  One facility is currently undergoing a $60 million redevelopment, with completion expected in 2018. It will deliver a new four-storey building adjoining the existing hospital, including a new emergency department, inpatient ward, four operating theatres and a critical care unit. It services a local community of 30,600 and a referral community of 55,200. The 24-hour emergency department is equipped with 16 beds catering for adults and children and sees approx. 13,000 presentations p.a.  The second facility is 110-bed regional referral hospital that provides a range of general, surgical and specialist services including orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology and general surgery. The hospital services a local population of 40,000 people and the 24-hour emergency department is equipped with 11 beds and sees 18- 20,000 presentations per year of which 10- 15% of the case are paediatric. == The Location == Located in South-Eastern New South Wales, this region is within easy access of Sydney and Canberra so you get the best of both worlds ? the country lifestyle and the city on your doorstep.
