== The Position == As a VMO General Physician you will enjoy a varied role providing clinical management and treatment in the fields of general medicine and acute medicine for inpatients and outpatients. You will also have the opportunity to utilise your sub specility. Additionally, you will participate in the consultant on-call roster which is 1 in 4 and assist with the education of the junior doctors. The role is supported by 2 Med Registrar?s and 3 interns.  In this position you will utilise your high level of knowledge, proficiency, skills and experience to assist in appropriate clinical governance activities and service planning and development, as well as actively engage in continuous quality improvement activities. The Hospital This 110 bed facility is a public hospital with a 24 hour emergency department, and a range of specialist services including: orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, ophthalmology, general surgery, diagnostic gastrointestinal endoscopy, paediatrics, maternity/obstetrics, acute medicine and satellite renal dialysis. These services are supported by pathology, pharmacy, radiology/imaging and sterilising. The hospital provides health services to a population of roughly 40,000 people. Annually, the 110 bed facility provides 9,000 outpatient services and has 6,500 general admissions. == The Location == This city is within easy access of Sydney and Canberra so you get the best of both worlds ? the country lifestyle and the city on your doorstep.
