== The Position == Wavelength is seeking a VMO/ General Surgeon to take on an exciting role located in regional New South Wales. You will bring your significant experience in general surgery alongside confidence in trauma and emergency scenarios to work across a number of rural locations. You will participate in an on call roster as required, and provide your expertise via consultative services as requested from your colleagues. This is an opportune chance to showcase your leadership skills as you teach students and staff, whilst also undertaking quality improvement and peer review practices. The Hospital This acute care public hospital offers general medical, surgical and specialist services. Following a major refurbishment after a $51 million dollar grant was provided; this hospital offers modern, state of the art, high quality patient care. Services such as Renal Dialysis, Obstetrics, Alcohol and Drug services and Domiciliary Care are provided at this facility. The Hospital is fitted with a modern 24-hour Emergency Department with approximately 17,000 presentations annually. The Hospital has 55 beds and had approximately 7,800 admissions in the previous year. == The Location == Located in South Eastern New South Wales, this town is city living with country style.
