Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services your primary responsibility will be the provision of specialized urology services to both public and private patients in the district. This is a full time role and you will be actively involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of urology procedures and outcomes to ensure efficiency in regard to discharge and patient outcomes. Your own individual practice will reflect modern advances and research.
As a Specialist you will also provide training and teaching to medical staff, creating a positive learning environment. You will conduct rounds on a regular basis and be expected to participate in an on-call roster. As a team player, you will assist your colleagues where necessary and be a positive addition to the hospital.
In this role you will be based at three reputable hospitals within the health service, all within an easy drive of each other. This will provide a variety of cases and a change of environment on a regular basis. The health service encompasses a large area with 7 hospitals.
Based on the Mid North coast of NSW, you will have access to idyllic beaches, world heritage sights and freshly caught seafood on a daily basis. Away from the rat race, you can relax on unspoilt beaches or hit the waves for some adventure. With its subtropical climate, the area has become a popular tourist destination. Farming and logging are also popular occupations in the region. With local farmlands and fresh fruit plantations, this region is a haven for connoisseurs of fine food and produce. Applicants must be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and be a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Surgeons with a sub speciality in Urology.
