== The Position == As an Orthopaedic Surgeon you will provide expert medical assessment and management of trauma patients in the local community. Primarily you will provide an accountable and high standard of patient care ensuring detailed patient treatment plans are in place. In addition to your clinical duties, you will also be actively involved in clinical governance and quality improvement, performance management, education and training. The Hospital You will be joining the region?s major referral and teaching hospital with over 500 beds. The hospital provides a large variety of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services to ensure patients receive excellent health outcomes. The hospital treats 47,000 patients annually including specialist and complex cases. To meet the growing needs of the community the hospital is currently undertaking a $1000000 enhancement, so there is great potential moving forward. As a dedicated teaching hospital, the hospital has strong affiliations with prestigious universities and research institutions.
