As Career Medical Officer, you will provide support to the Urgent Care Centre (UCC). You will be treating non-complex, low acuity patients with minor injury and illness who do not require hospital admission. The centre aims to provide care in an efficient, convenient and timely manner. You will join a fast-paced environment with patients receiving all assessment, investigations and treatment within 60 minutes, being discharged for follow-up with their GP.
Permanent or casual (shift) contracts are available and you will work 0800-1800 or 1300-2300 with the support of another CMO. An on-site CMO will also be available on call (2300-0800).
Following recent changes and developments in the health district, this hospital will offer rehabilitation and palliative care services alongside the 24-hour walk in urgent care service. Being a new service, it is estimated that the UCC will have between 10,000 and 13,000 presentations per annum (an average of 35 presentations per day).

To be considered for this role you must be PGY5+ with previous clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Orthopaedics or General Practice. You must hold (or be eligible for) General registration with AHPRA.
