Wavelength currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Palliative Medicine Physician to join the expanding Palliative Care Service in Tasmania. You will provide a high level of service for patient care providing palliative care services across the health service.
Australia’s second oldest hospital, this major referral centre offers a large range of medical, surgical and specialist services. The facility has a catchment population of 250,000 and has received significant funding in order to ensure the services provided remain at the forefront of technology alongside delivering a high quality environment for staff and patients. Fitted with a modern 24 hour Emergency Department with over 59,000 presentations annually, there are over 47,800 admissions to this 501 bed facility. The Hospital also has close ties with the University of Tasmania, allowing both research and clinical teaching to be conducted.
