== The Position == Wavelength is seeking a motivated Obstetrics & Gynaecology Consultant for an exciting opportunity in regional NSW. Joining a team of three consultants, with registrars providing around the clock support, you will provide services to a busy department assisting with approximately 1200 births per year. You will play a key role in the development of services within the local community including ongoing service development and management of high risk patients within the service. You will participate in an on-call roster, with one day per week and one in four weekends on call.  Additionally, you will have an interest in sharing your knowledge facilitating and contributing to the supervision and training of colleagues, junior medical officers and students. An attractive remuneration package is available alongside the opportunity for provision of private obstetric services. The Hospital Servicing a catchment population of over 160,000 this hospital is the major rural referral centre and acute care hospital for the region. The 134-bed facility offers services such as Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Emergency, ICU and Coronary care. The Emergency department currently sees over 33,459 presentations, and 23,028 admissions annually. This facility is currently undergoing a $91million redevelopment to support upgrades and build new facilities as the demand for service in the area continues to grow. == The Location == Located on in regional NSW, this town is the gateway for road freight and rail services to Central NSW and beyond.
