Staff Specialist Neurologist

The Position
In this Specialist Neurologist position, you will utilise your strong clinical knowledge and experience to provide a high-level of care for inpatients and outpatients. The successful applicant will perform weekly ward rounds for inpatient care, ensuring arrangements are made for patients on discharge from the hospital, maximising continuity of care and health outcomes. Additionally, the role will entail teaching and supervising medical students, as well as initiating and developing research projects relevant to the clinical discipline.

The Hospital
This post is based in a 300-bed public hospital that offers all acute medical services. It is a major referral facility that provides general and specialist health services to a population of roughly 250,000. With recent redevelopments, the facilities are modern and functional and the staff areas are excellent.

The hospital has strong links with the local University, thus the medical school is co-located on the same campus. As an accredited teaching hospital, there is a strong focus on teaching and research and an opportunity to be involved with both.

Essential Criteria
To be successful in applying for this position you must hold FRACP (or be close to obtaining fellowship) or equivalent and be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
