Wavelength is seeking a Staff Specialist ? Geriatrics, to take on an exciting role located in regional Victoria. You will be working at the forefront of service delivery in this purpose built, brand new, 14 bed sub-acute ward. You will have a high level of time management skills and posses a keen eye for detail as you deliver these much needed services at a high quality to the local community. Your experience and dedication to building this service from the ground up will see you rewarded with a competitive salary package inclusive of leave loading, professional development allowance and leave, professional indemnity cover, overtime and on call allowances. You will participate in a 1:4 on call roster alongside 4 sessions of clinic and outreach work each week. Additionally, you will have an interest in leadership and sharing your knowledge as you assist in the training of local medical students and colleagues.
Serving a catchment population of over 35,000 people, this facility employs over 600 staff and is dedicated to deliver high quality and compassionate health care to the local community. With 143 beds, the hospital offers such services as Obstetrics, Oncology, General Surgery, Day Procedures, Palliative Care and Aged Care services. The facility also offers on site radiology, pathology and specialist outpatient clinics. The 24 hour Emergency Department sees approximately 14,000 presentations annually, alongside 6,800 admissions to the facility
