== The Position == Wavelength currently holds an exciting opportunity for a Staff Specialist ? General Medicine, based in regional New South Wales. You will provide care to both public and private patients in this teaching hospital, alongside participation in an on call and after hours roster.  You will have an interest in showcasing your leadership and mentoring skills as you supervise residents, registrars and career medical officers to assist with their training and career paths, with an academic appointment potentially available.  The Hospital This rural teaching facility has 100 beds and offers a broad range of services including general medical, surgical and specialist services. A historic hospital, a completely new facility was built and opened in 2000 after the receipt of $32 million in funding.  More recently, work is currently underway to increase the level of ICU and CCU services. The hospital offers services such as Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Dialysis, Palliative Care and surgery. Furthermore, support services such as Medical Imaging, Radiology and Pathology are located on site. The Emergency department sees approximately 22,158 presentations per year, with 7, 674 patients admitted to the hospital during the same period. == The Location == Located in the far west of New South Wales this rural location holds more than first meets the eye.
