== The Position == Wavelength has an exciting position for an experienced ENT surgeon to join this busy department. You will provide support and development of ENT services within the regional network, providing both elective end emergency services. You will be a team player, highly experienced in providing both consultative and admission services to patients. Additionally, you will facilitate a learning culture within this teaching hospital, supporting junior staff and medical students whilst undertaking research projects should you desire. The Hospital This regional referral base hospital has recently been awarded an $80 million redevelopment package in order to meet the growing demands of the region. Planned works include building a new and expanded Emergency Department including a modernised ambulance bay and fast track area; new pathology and maternity units and expanding the existing medical imaging department. Currently the hospital services a population catchment of 160,000 offering services such as Maternity, Paediatric, Coronary Care, Mental Health, Intensive Care and also High Dependency Care. The current Emergency Department has approximately 31,019 presentations annually, with 26,064 admissions to the hospital and over 8,000 surgeries performed. == The Location == Located in Northern NSW, this city is a short drive from pristine beaches and stunning national parks.
