== The Position == An opportunity has arisen for a Dermatology Staff Specialist to join the Hospital to help create and develop high quality clinical services. You will have a broad range of Dermatology experience and training to lead shape and develop the department. This role will be the platform to share your skills as this position will interact with a full range of medical and surgical specialties within the service. This position will include research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future, including physician trainees and undergraduate medical students of The Australasian College of Dermatology.   The Hospital is the tertiary teaching hospital for North Queensland and has a patient case mix commensurate with that level of care provision. This includes patients from the local area and from the surrounding regions. The Hospital This 460-bed hospital is the largest tertiary health service in northern Australia and is a major tertiary referral facility, serving  a population of roughly 600,000 people. This is a teaching hospital for students from the universities in the local areas and offers a supportive environment for employees in a progressive workplace. Every service in this hospital is committed to the continual review and development of both its operation and its staff. The Hospital provides complex, high level services across a wide range of specialities including cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, adult and paediatric ICU, general surgery, medicine, radiation and medical oncology, transplant haematology, paediatrics, obstetrics and neonatology to the North Queensland region. It also includes a 75 bay emergency department (ED) which is now the biggest ED in Queensland.
